the chemistry nobel prize in 2005 has been awarded for "for the development of the metathesis method in organic synthesis". three people recieved the prize. one of them, Robert Grubbs, actually came to speak at the school i go to a year ago. super nice guy and some great chemistry. check out the brief description at
nobelprize.org, the animation is a good rendering of what happens and it is kinda fun to watch.

sometimes. think of it this way. its our way of sharing a small portion of our interests with those that frequent the blog. its like eavesdropping, everyone wants to do it, you rarely feel guilty afterwords.. and who knows, you might get something juicy! in this case it turned out to be a grubb.
just too too witty
acutally it does help people who live in the middle of the emptyness to remember there is world
